Alpha Drive

The Alpha drive is designed for launches up to 18ft, or for auxiliary power for sailing boats up to 26ft. Its powerful electric motor delivers 1.5kW, and runs at 900rpm, making it ideal for direct coupling to existing propeller shafts and props, and giving maximum efficiency. It can be supplied for fitting to new boats, or tailored to existing craft, replacing unreliable, worn out and unsafe petrol motors. Properly designed, it can often fit under the floorboards, freeing off extra space in the boat.

Different battery combinations can be specified to give ample range for day-boating, or longer cruises. Automatic battery chargers keep these charged up overnight, using off-peak electricity for extra savings.
